I followed a man who was speak-singing to his bichon frise, which sat in a quiet daze atop a stool in the middle of the stage. It my first ever attempt, in private or in public, to sing “With a Little Help from My Friends”. I, uh, got by…
It was a pretty great way to spend a Monday night. If you’re in NYC, just go try it.
Major props to the band who traversed a catalogue spanning genre and time without missing a beat.
